April 25, 1996





The meeting was called to order by Vice-Chairman Don Johnson, and held in the County Commissioners Office of the St. Clair County Court House. Those present were Don Johnson, John Gover, Phillip Belcher, and Jerry Hart. Vice-Chairman stated for the record that Chairman John Christiansen would be unable to attend because he had to attend a funeral. John Gover read the minuets of the last meeting, Phillip Belcher made a motion to except the minuets as read, and Jerry Hart seconded, all approved .Phillip Belcher of the St. Clair County Sheriff Department Submitted training / capability assessment reports for the following departments, Appleton City Police, St. Clair County Sheriff Department, Lowry City Police Department, and Osceola Police Department. As there was no set agenda for the meeting, and the revised version of the draft of BY-LAWS for the LEPC were unable to be obtained . Discussion on the By-Laws was tabled to the next Meeting. John Gover will try to contact John Christiansen to have a copy of the draft mailed to each member before the next meeting. Sec. / Treas. John Gover contacted St. Clair County Clerk Donna Houston about funds available for LEPC Replied with the following. In reply to your request of April 1, 1996 regarding funds for the LEPC: The County did receive $1,696.79 last November for use of (1) Updating hazard material plan (2) Operating (recruit new members, adv. cost & postage. and (3) Training first responders and local officials for federal and state programs (travels & pre diem) The LEPC is to submit the bills to the Commission and the County Clerk will pay them. John Gover made the suggestion that the LEPC might be able to apply for 94, 95 funds not claimed and is to look in to it. There was a motion to adjourn, John Gover seconded, Vice-Chairman Don Johnson closed the meeting.
