Minutes



August 29, 1996



The meeting was called to order by Vice-chairman Don Johnson, those in attendance were John Christiansen, Don Johnson, John Gover, Mark Hampton, Tracye Hampton, Roger Wood, Phillip Belcher, and Jerry Hart. The minuets were read by Sect/Tres John Gover Phillip Belcher made the motion to approve the minuets as read, Tracye Hampton Seconded the motion, all approved.



Old Business

Don Johnson asked if there had been any action on the file cabinet, John Gover replied that no file cabinet had been found and that Bob Bray had loaned a file box till a file cabinet could be purchased. Don Johnson opened discussion on the ON GUARD video training tape for Hazard Mat. the group decided not to purchase them at this time. It was announced that there would be a HAZARD MAT. DECON class in Sept. 14, 1996 at the Co. Health Building.



L.E.P.C. ap plication



Don Johnson opened the discussion on the Funding Application for the 1996-1997 budget . All members present went through each section of the application and Jerry Hart made the motion to except the final draft, Tracye Hampton second , all approved the budget. See the attached copy of the budget.



There was a reading of the draft copy of ANNEX H of the all hazard plan, the group decided to send the draft copy to SEMA and The Division Of Fire Safety in its draft form as the LEPC Committee still wanted to make some revisions to the ANNEX before adopting it to the county plan. Tracye Hampton made the motion to table the final copy approval till future meeting, Jerry Hart 2nd, all agree.





New Business



PAYMENT OF BILLS



Bill's for the month of August are as follows.



For training reimbursement, Travel Lodging And meals, Mid AM Confer, KCMO

1. Bob Bray $90.01

2. John Gover $20.23

3. Tracye Hampton $ 9.56



Jerry Hart made the motion to pay the above bills, Roger Wood seconded.



There was discussion on establishing a petty cash fund, Jerry Hart made the motion to establish a petty cash fund of $50.00 if the county approves the account. Tracye Hampton 2nd. all agreed.

Phillip Belcher announced that the Sheriff Dept. Through the State Fire Marshals office , put in a First Response Awareness Training Class Oct 10, 1996

John Gover Made the motion to adjourn, Tracye Hampton 2nd, all agree.
