Minutes

January 28, 1999

The meeting was called to order by Chairman John Christiansen, those in attendance were John Christiansen, Don Johnson, John Gover, Bill Theel, Roger Wood, Al Davis and Melvin Bonner. The minutes form the October 29, 1998 meeting were not read.

There was a discussion on the Tanker truck wreck on 01-22-1999 about the lack of early notification from the Sheriff Dept. And what can be done to Improve the Communications when these incidences occur.

The budget. We have $1824.09 in the account from 1998 and received $2750.00 for the 1999 budget with a balance of $4574.09

Don Johnson made a motion to apply for the Flow Study Grant and Bill Theel seconded the motion all agreed. It was discussed to do a flow study in Appleton City and Lowry City, The LEPC will be contacting the Fire departments of these communities to see if they would be interested in helping with the Flow Study data.

Al Davis is to contact the Weather Service to see if we can get a Weather spotter class for the 25^th of Feb.

The next meeting date will be February 25, 1999 at 18:00 Hrs and a weather class to start at 19:00 hrs. The meeting was adjourned.
