Minutes

May 29, 1997

The meeting was called to order by Chairman John Christiansen, those in attendance were John Christiansen, Don Johnson, John Gover, and Tracye Hampton. The minutes form the April 24, 1997 meeting was read by Sec/Tres John Gover, Don Johnson made a motion to except the minutes as read Tracye Hampton seconded the motion and all approved.

New Business

Chairman John Christiansen opened the floor for discussion on improving the radio system for Emergency Management and LEPC communications in ST. CLAIR COUNTY by looking into the possibility of adding a second frequency to the 154.950 MHZ in order to have a repeater. It was suggested to contact ALL-TELL about putting the repeater on the ceiluar phone tower at the highway barn at the Junction of Mo. Highways 13 & 82. It was suggested that we contact Jim Wright (communications Officer) For Emergency Management about applying for this frequency.

Computer Bid

Chairman John Christiansen opened the floor to discussion on the computer bid's to be submitted. John Gover submitted the following list of specifications for the software and hardware. Don Johnson made the suggestion that we include in the spec's that the computer be warrantied for a term of at least one year. It was discussed Who and ware to send bids, Don Johnson suggested that we put it in the St. Clair County Courier and John Christiansen said he would see to that. Tracy Made the motion to except the Bid Spec's Don Johnson Seconded and all approved.

Training

Tracye Hampton reported that there will be a HAZARDOUS MATERIALS OPERATIONS CLASS on JULY 11 & 12 and the Time will be anounced at a later Date.

Next Meeting Date

The next meeting date for the LEPC will be JULY 31, 1997 in the court room of the St. Clair County Court House.

Flow Study

John Gover Submitted a final copy of the 1996 Flow Study, Don Johnson suggested that we add a paragraph explaining that there are Hazardous Materials that travel all the roads in the county not just the one the study was conducted on. Don Johnson made the motion to except the flow study, Tracye Hampton seconded the motion and all approved

Adjournment

Tracy made the motion to adjourn Don Johnson seconded and all approved.

Chairman John Christiansen Adjourned the meeting.
