Minutes

October 30, 2002

The meeting was called to order by Vice-Chairman Don Johnson, those in attendance were John Christiansen, Don Johnson, John Gover, Roger Wood, Bob Bray, Al Davis, Jerry Hart, Davis Switzner, Paul Roberts, and Kevin Gates.

Basement remodeling:

John Christiansen has submitted plans and material list for remodeling the basement to the County Commission. The Commission has ask for bids on the material and have had no response at this time.

Foam;

Roger Wood reported that the foam and enductors have been distributed to all the departments except Appleton City.

Repeater:

Al Davis reported that the channel elements for the reporter had been ordered and will be installed in the repeater an it will be ready as soon as it can be tuned.

Batteries for Handy talkies:

Al Davis reported that the batteries had been shipped to John Christiansen and the bill submitted to treasurer.

New Business

Chairman John Christiansen opened the floor for discussion on new business,

John Christiansen reported that the HMEP and MEPA funds had been sent form the state but have not been received.

John Gover reported that the LEPC has funds form the MERC to do studies and that these studies need to be completed, John will draft a letter to local fire departments to see if they are willing to help with a county wide flow study.

David Switzner of the County Health department has been meeting with the Kaysinger basin regional Planning Committee about grants and fund for starting Hazmat support teams. There will be a meeting at the county health building on November 19, 2002 to Discuss this.

Next meeting will be January 30, 2003 17:00 hrs at the Courthouse

Don Johnson made a motion to adjourn and Al Davis seconded, all approved and meeting was adjourned
