Old Business:
ID Badges – John Christiansen reported that half of the Elliott System is being shipped to him.
Training:
Hazmat – waiting on Michael White the new HAZMAT Planner Trainer ERC in Joplin. May come to the October meeting and will be helping update Annex H. Hazardous training in Jefferson City on October 8 & 9. HAZMAT awareness is required for the September 15th NIMS rollup for the County. Hazmat awareness is required to be updated yearly for law enforcement and fire departments. John also needs to know who is trained in Response for HAZMAT. Nevada (our regional HAZMAT) may be closing, which will leave Greene County as the only one in our region. John will work with Michael on use of funds.
Please send all updated NIMS training to John Christiansen by September 15th.
MERIS – John Gover and Jeanne Millsap have attended the training. John Christiansen will attend in Warsaw October 3rd.
Elliot System – Jeanne Millsap, Sheila Christiansen and David Christiansen attended training in Mt. Vernon. John Gover was given a copy of the training booklets by Jeanne.
Water Association Emergency Response Workshop will be attended by Jeanne Millsap on September 9 in Concordia. John Christiansen will attend October 14 in Candenton.
EOC Management and Operations will be in Warrensburg on October 15 &16. Jeanne Millsap and John Christiansen will be attending.
Faith Based meeting will be September 12 & 13 in Springfield. Jerry Hart stated that the United Methodist Church Pastor may be attending.
2008 Crisis Communications Conference is October 8 – 10. Jeanne, John Gover and John Christiansen are planning to attend.
Agrosecurity Conference will be October 7-8
HAZMAT Symposium will be December 11-14.
Mutual Aid Agreements are needed. Turn in coil be October 7 & 8 pies to John Christiansen for the EOC.
Update on EOP (on hold until Candy Adams and Michael White can help) John Christiansen stated he has the Annex O for Earthquake.
HAM Radio net – Wayne Justis has asked for someone else to run the net. Jerry Hart introduced Steve Pierce (a newly licensed HAM operator that will be helping Sac-Osage Hospital with their radio). Steve offered to run the net on Monday nights at 8:00 pm. Jeanne mentioned the Packet Network Project Plan (MEPN)
Sheltering – Debbie Burns sent an e-mail stating that she is being replaced by Sheila Ash. Jeanne gave out 5 Public Health Guide for Emergency Shelters.
GETS Cards – John Christiansen says he needs to check into this as he hasn’t heard anything.
Bio-Terrorism/Pandemic Influenza: refrigeration truck, armed security, MOU’s for SNS
ordering/delivery are being worked on, manual has been updated and will be
given electronically to those that need to have a copy. Jeanne also reported the
size of pallets for SNS.
Grants – John Christiansen talked about the funding for EMDs.
New Business:
By-Laws changes needed (tabled).
Jeanne asked if an EOC exercise could be done. John Christiansen said he would like to have one before December.
Jeanne Asked about an EOC hotline. John Christiansen said there isn’t one.
Jeanne gave John Christiansen a packet of information on IRIS, a response notification system. The system costs each member $8.00 per month.
Jeanne asked if anyone would be interested in joining a Medical Reserve Corp. It was determined that most in the area are working two jobs now.
