The meeting was called to order by Chairman John Christiansen, those in attendance were John Christiansen, Don Johnson, John Gover, Robert Bray, Jim Wright, Al Davis, Jerry Hart, Larry Gates, and Bill Theel.

John Christiansen brought to the attention of the group that the radio license for Emergency Management / LEPC had expired and that we were no longer licensed to use the Frequency. After group discussion it was decided to apply for a dual frequency license so that we can have a repeater for Emergency Management and LEPC to share. Al Davis made the motion to have Jim Wright fill the application for the new radio license to the FCC. And the cost would be around $860.00. Jerry Hart Seconded the motion and all approved.

John Christiansen is to contact the new sheriff Ron Snodgrass about use of the Local Sheriff frequency by EMA/LEPC members.

There was discussion on having a Website built for LEPC / Emergency Management so that the public and all emergency services departments could be better informed on all matters related to emergency services. John Gover submitted a list of URL addresses that were available and the group chose ( www.stclaircountyemalepc.com ) The hosting web company would be epsi.net and the fee is $19.95 per month and a registration fee of $50 for the domine name. Don Johnson made a motion to approve the website address and Larry Gates Seconded, all approved. Bill Theel Made a motion to go ahead with the Website and Don Johnson Seconded the motion, and all approved.

Jerry Hart made a motion to have John Christiansen resubmit a request to have an office space in the basement of the courthouse built as John had discussed with the Commissioners earlier in the year. Don Johnson seconded the motion and all approved

Don Johnson made a motion to return to monthly meetings starting with the January 25, 2001 meeting. John Gover seconded and all approved.
