Minutes

February 23, 2006

The meeting was called to order by Chairman John Christiansen, those in attendance were John Christiansen, Commissioner - Gerald Williams, Don Johnson, John Gover, Larry Gates, Roger Wood, Robert Albertson, Melvin Bonner, Ken Howard, Paul Roberts and Jerry Hart. No minutes form the January 26, 2006 meeting were read, Treasurer Reported LEPC funds of $13,745.99 and Emergency Management funds of $2086.41 by Sec/Tres John Gover, Don Johnson made a motion to except the minutes as read Roger Wood seconded the motion and all approved.

John Christiansen opened the floor on discussion on the International Operational Grant on Updating radios to comply with future regulations. John explained that he had the Application for the Grand and is trying to compile the information that is required to apply. John is trying to have it submitted by February 28, 2006.

There is a Weather Spotter Class scheduled for March 30, At Grace United Methodist church between the hours of 6:30 and 9:00 PM.

John Christiansen meet with the Health Department on Mass inoculations and to see if the health department and the schools had their plans in place.

John Christiansen also stated that we need to be working on getting everyone NIMS and ICS educated as soon as possible.

John Gover Needs to cut a PO for the Flow study Collins Fire had done so they could be paid.

John Christiansen is looking into purchasing 6 Meter Ham Radios for the use of Weather reporting directly to NWS in Springfield through 6-meter repeaters in Springfield. Don Johnson made a motion to have John Christiansen sign up with a 6-meter ham net for reporting weather to NWS Paul 2^nd and All Approved.
