Minutes

January 31, 2002

The meeting was called to order by Chairman John Christiansen, those in attendance were John Christiansen, Don Johnson, John Gover, Robert Leslie, Al Davis, Richard Vaughn, Mark Dean, Roger Wood, David Switzner, Kevin G Church, Raymond Pennington, Jerry Hart, Kevin Gates, Kenneth Howard. The minutes form the November meeting was were not read. And will be read in the February 28,2002 meeting.

New Business

Chairman John Christiansen opened the floor for discussion on ways to update the EOP, by adding a sub-annex to list all the contact phone numbers and all other annex's will refer to this sub-annex which will be easier to keep updated than having to redo so many pages in the annex's. John Christiansen and others decided that it would be best to work in small groups on the EOP update we made a committee to work on the update. Those in the EOP Group are John Christiansen, Don Johnson, John Gover, Robert Leslie, & Raymond Pennington.

Discussion on doing a table top or full exercise was tabled to feature meeting date.

A motion by Jerry Hart to purchase a Foam System for Hazmat use to be shared by all Stclair County Fire Departments Kevin Gates Seconded and all approved. A committee was formed to gather information on the purchase of Fire Fighter Foam & Equipment for Hazmat use. Those on the committee are Kevin Gates, Roger Wood & Raymond Pennington.

A motion by Al Davis to send two members to the 2002 SEMA/MEPA conference in April Richard Vaughn Seconded and all approved. Those members approved are John Gover & Robert Bray.

There was a motion by Al Davis and Seconded By David Switzner to purchase a Laptop Computer for the LEPC all approved. This Laptop will be programed by Sect Tres John Gover with all available information, including EOP, Hazmat, Mapping, Photo storage of site plans and any other information that will assist the incident commander on the scene.

There was a bill for $193.49 from Excel Computers for Internet ISP provider hosting website for year 2002. Inv Number 23362 bill number 02282002-1

John Gover Made a motion to pay the bill and Kevin Gates seconded, all approved.

John Christian Adjourned the meeting.

Candy Adams and A.J. From SEMA were to be at the January meeting but due to bad weather they will be at the March Meeting to help get the EOP updates going.
