St. Clair County LEPC Meeting Minutes for January 25, 2007

 

Call to Order by John Christiansen at 19:12.

Those present: Jeanne Millsap, Roger Wood, Robert Albertson, Sheila Christiansen,

Larry Gates, and John Christiansen.

Minutes: changes as follows: under those present change - Banner to Bonner; under

second to adjourn meeting change - Wood to Albertson. Minutes were accepted

with changes - motion by Robert Albertson, second by Sheila Christiansen, all in favor.

Treasurer’s Report: John Gover not present. Last report of $9402.87 in October. John

Christiansen said the LEPC budget is from July to June and EM is from January to December. EM is usually $3000.00 but will be ~$100,500.00 with the increase due to the radio grant.

Old Business:

ID Badges – John Christiansen said the database is coming together, have most of the

emblems, could include personal health information.

NIMS requirements – need to be working on to get everyone in compliance.

NIMS classes – John Christiansen and Jeanne Millsap attended the NIMS 300 & 400 in

November.

Agro-Terrorism Training – was canceled due to weather. Will be held on January 29 at

the Scout Camp in Iconium at the Headquarters from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. Being put on by the Dept. of Agriculture.

Hazmat training needs to be scheduled.

Weather Spotters training will be February 28th at 19:00 but don’t have a location yet.

Emergency Contact List Updates – Jeanne has been updating churches in St. Clair

County. John has put together a book with all of the EOP information together. Further updates are needed.

Radio Grant was discussed. 30 of 51 radios are in. Further discussion on the radios and

set-up. Need right frequencies, split head on mobiles and cable length (9’ or 24’)? Will need to show trade and paid for, etc.

New Business:

Ice Storm was discussed. John worked with SEMA and FEMA. Need expenses in man

hours, how many people in and out of shelters, damage assessment/reports, etc. Nursing Homes need plans and State DHSS is requesting notification of closing of Health Departments and moving of Nursing Home patients in the future.

Train the Trainer classes will be taught for NIMS in March – John Christiansen will try to

go, if he can’t Jeanne Millsap will.

Jeanne gave out Pandemic Influenza Booklets to everyone present. She informed

everyone that there have been over 5000 confirmed cases of influenza since October 2006.
