Old Business:
ID Badges – John Christiansen was given two sheets by Jeanne. John stated that Sac-
Osage Hospital badges had been redone, he needs the Star of Life emblem from
Paul, and thinking of doing Appleton City on April 24th.
Training: NIMS – IS 400 was taught by Jeanne for 8 participants.
Mutual Aid Agreements- John has been talking to departments but has not received any
more.
Update on EOP – John stated that new information on pet sheltering had been received. A
discussion on this occurred at this time.
New computer – John stated that it had been ordered from HCS out of Warsaw.
GETS Cards – John Christiansen said he had sent in information.
Grants – Paul stated that Sac-Osage and Deepwater had gotten their grants.
SEMA Conference – John and Sheila Christiansen and John Gover attended. FEMA
Head stopped in and main message was that “Emergency is a local issue”. There
was a session on HAM Radio, Internet danger, Cell Phone use, and sheltering
kits.
Sheltering – Debbie Burns said there wasn’t anything new, but water at Collins was
outdated. MOU’s for Nursing Homes was discussed.
Influenza – Jeanne gave a report that the state had had 28,041 cases of influenza for the
2007/08 season. Influenza A had hit St. Clair County and Influenza B was going
around right now.
HAM Radio net – Jeanne gave a report on number of check-ins for each date (16 for
3/3/08, 12 for 3/10/08, 12 for 3/17/08, and 8 for 3/24/08. A letter will be sent out
to all HAM Operators in St. Clair County to let them know about the net and see
if we can get their help in case it is needed. Along with the letter will be a
registration form. Jeanne will collect the forms for now. It is hoped that there will
be interest in helping identify HAM operators to help with communications at
shelters. A back up for Al Davis was discussed. Paul said he would do it for a
short time.
