Minutes
March 28, 2002
The meeting was called to order by Chairman John Christiansen, those in attendance were John Christiansen, Don Johnson, John Gover, Roger Wood Richard Vaughn Al Davis, Kenneth Howard, Kevin Gates, Larry Kottwitz, David Switzner and Paul Roberts. The minutes form the Feb 28, 2002 meeting was read by Sec/Tres John Gover, Don Johnson made a motion to except the minutes as read Paul Roberts seconded the motion and all approved.
Old Business
Chairman John Christiansen opened the floor for discussion on old Business, The report from the Foam committee By Roger Woods & Kevin Gates.
1. Firemaster $79.00 per 5gal unit and 95 gal inductor $369.00
2. David Fire $53.00 per 5gal unit and Acron inductor $416.00 and POK -195 $302.00
3. Hase Fire $ 75.00 per 5gal unit and $463.55 for inductor
4. Conrad Fire $77.20 per 5gal unit and $430 for Inductor.
Al David made a motion to purchase from David Fire services, 20 5 gal. units of AAAF Foam and Which ever inductor (the Acron or POK) they feel will do the best job for the money. And to pay milage and meals for some one to pickup the foam if it is not shipped to the LEPC. Richard Vaughn Seconded the motion and all agreed.
John Christiansen opened the floor on where to store the foam. John Gover made a motion to split the foam between the departments. Five Gallon each for Appleton City, Lowry City, Sac-Osage Fire, and Collins. Also to purchase Three (3) inductors ( POK at $302 if meeting the Above Motion by Al). Al Davis seconded and all approved.
Al Davis reported that the radio repeater was not going to be able to be purchased as reported in the February 2002 meeting. He stated that the same company will build one for us but that the Nevada repeaters were all gone. It was decided to get more information and bids on other repeaters. John Christiansen is to check on them at the MEPA/SEMA conference.
Al Davis reported that we can purchase a programer for the computer, to program the Rhelm handy talkies with out having to take them apart for $79.00. John Gover made a motion to purchase the program Paul Roberts seconded and all agreed.
John Christiansen will draft a letter to all that have authorities to use the repeater on terms and conditions of use.
There will be a storm spotters class April 11, 2002 at 7:00 pm at the courthouse courtroom.
Candy Adams from SEMA was present discussion the updating to the Counties EOP.
1. To take all personal phone numbers out of the plan and make available only to authorized personnel and to the public by written request.
2. Some companies are requesting that TERR II not be published to general public.
3. Sub annex to the health annex about animal disease.
Larry Kottwitz open the floor to school planning.
Al Davis made a motion to adjourn all agreed
