Old Business:
Radio Grant report by John Christiansen – complete and in place, ready to go out, but must be processed. Need to complete form “Cooperative Radio Frequency Use Agreement and John must have a copy for Emergency Management. John will need in writing: who got what # of radios and # of walkie-talkies, serial ID #’s of radios, and ID # of radio turned in. This must be signed. Also had a discussion on radio operation and programming.
Mutual Aid Agreements – John Christiansen stated that we must have these in order to get grants money. Discussion on MOU’s and a handout on MOU’s. MOU’s must be with other counties and agencies – City to City, City to County, and County to County. It should have “to serve what areas or boundaries.”
Training:
NIMS Train the Trainer – March 20-23 was completed by John Christiansen and Jeanne

NIMS 300 – April 10 & 11 in Bolivar 417-326-7250
NIMS 400 – April 16 & 17 in Bolivar
Weather Spotters Training April 25 at 18:30 at Methodist Church in Osceola
Must have 100, 200, 700, and 800 by September 2007. This has to be reported to SEMA and
FEMA and will count toward federal funding of grants.
ID Badges – John Gover/Sheila Christiansen – Sheila will plan on being at Collins Fire Dept. on April 7th for ID pictures.
EOC phone lines were discussed and internet connections.
Update on EOP: John Christiansen met with Candy Adams and Maurine – updates are needed in 9 of the sections and 3 are new additions. Promulgation statement and signature by commissioners are a few changes needed. Hope to have it ready by May, then will get out to needed agencies on CD.
Bylaws need review and updating with minor changes.
New Business:
Jeanne Millsap handed out pamphlets on Community Heroes Volunteers and training for volunteers is available. She also mentioned the House Bill 824 on schools and Senate Bill 705 on public health; and Long Term Care Facilities have a new “Ready in 3” Disaster Plan template.
Deepwater will have a Fire Emergency Vehicle Driving class on April 20-21 from 08:30 to 17:00. Call 660-492-2828.
Several people want NOAA weather radios.
April 20-22 there is a three rivers concert.
