Old Business:
Radio Grant update – some needed to be turned in of the old radios. Instruction needed on using radios. Health Center radios are being worked on.
ID Badges – Sheila Christiansen is continuing to work on these.
Training:
Agriculture Training CEU’s certificate is needed by Don Johnson.
Weather Spotters Training took place on April 25 at 19:00 at Methodist Church in Osceola with approximately 30 in attendance. May have another training in November 2007 or January 31, 2008 – John Christiansen will set it up.
Hazmat awareness training is available online.
CERT – Sheila Christiansen and Don Johnson have attended.
PIO – CERC Training for Basic and advanced was attended by Jeanne Millsap in
May.
Mutual Aid Agreements – Handed out with radios and need to have a copy of signed form returned to the Emergency Manager, John Christiansen. They will have an attachment/amendment added of: an option of a 60 day cancel and must be updated and initialed annually.
EOP – John Christiansen is continuing to work on this update.
New Business:
NIMS training – who need it and what (100, 700, 800, 200, 300, 400.) The following will need to be current by September 1, 2007 – Fire, Sheriff, Police, Cities, Commisioners, County Courthouse, Hospitals, EMS, Public Works.
A motion was made by Jeanne Millsap to order NIMS 300 manuals for teaching in the county times 12 books. Second was made by John Gover with all in favor.
Telatask notification system – Jeanne Millsap suggested we think about using some of the money from the LEPC for this system instead of reverse 911 system. She will send out information on this with the minutes.
Sheltering – Family Services is being required to plan for county sheltering.
GIS – John Gover said next year there will be a fly-over of the western half of the state including St. Clair county in 2 foot pixel resolutions color DOQQ’S and they would be free and upgrading to 6 inch pixels would costing an additional $200- $250/square mile to get a GIS picture of counties.
